Welcome to Jackson Hwy Vet Clinic

Your pet is family. We treat them that way.

We are a small, independent clinic in Chehalis, looking after the cats and dogs of Lewis County and the people who love them. No two animals are the same here, so no two visits are either. We treat this dog, not allergy dog. This cat, not nervous cat.

Dr. Amanda Spikerman has cared for animals here since 2015 and owns the clinic today. You are looked after by a small team who get to know you and your pet, so your history is familiar, not a file we are reading for the first time.

What we do

Comprehensive care under one roof.

Everyday medicine for cats and dogs, with the diagnostics and surgery to back it up. If your pet needs a specialist we will point you to one we trust.

Surgery

From routine spays and neuters to soft tissue procedures, with pain relief and monitoring throughout.

Dental Care

Cleanings, extractions and advice that keeps the mouth healthy and the breath bearable.

The clinic's in-house lab and diagnostic equipment

Diagnostics

Digital radiographs and in-house bloodwork, so we get answers quickly when something is not right.

Vaccinations

Core and lifestyle vaccines on a schedule that fits your pet, given with as little fuss as possible.

A dog standing beside its owner

Microchipping

A quick, permanent way to bring your pet home if they ever wander further than the parking lot.

How it feels to bring your pet here

Clear options, and a calmer kind of visit.

A plan, before a bill

You hear the options and the cost up front. Plan A, B or C, never a surprise at the desk on the way out.

Faces your pet knows

A small, familiar team who get to know you and your pet over time, so you are not starting the story over at every visit.

Low stress, low restraint

We use fear free and low restraint handling wherever we can. The best cat vaccine is the one the cat never noticed.

Find us on Highway 12

The little clinic in the fir trees.

You will find us at 628 US Hwy 12, next to Mary’s Corner, in good company with the Mary’s Corner Medical Clinic and Jackson Court House State Park. People drive in from Centralia, Mossyrock, Morton, Randle and further, partly because out this way good vets are thin on the ground, and partly because they keep coming back.

The clinic was founded by Dr. Dale Marker and his wife Donna, who saw a gap in care locally and decided to fill it. Amanda joined as his associate and took over the practice as he stepped back. It has been independent and locally run ever since.

One quick thing. We are Jackson Hwy Vet Clinic, not Timberland down the road. Easy mistake to make out here. The big logo on the front is the giveaway.

Exotics and large animals

Not a cat or a dog? We will point you the right way.

We focus on cats and dogs, and we do that well. For reptiles, birds, rabbits, ferrets, or anything with hooves, we keep a short list of clinics we rate and we are happy to share it.

Amanda keeps two ball pythons of her own, Ramen the Noodle Boy included, plus a parakeet, so she has firm opinions on where they should go.

Costs, out in the open.

You hear the cost up front, never as a surprise at the end. And when you need to spread payments out, we work with options like CareCredit and Scratch Pay, among others, so caring for your pet is easier to plan for.
